According to police, a motorcyclist from Toledo was seriously injured in a hit-and-run on Friday evening

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Toledo Police officials report a Toledo motorcyclist was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident Friday evening.

According to officials, the motorcyclist was traveling south on Schwartz Road when a northbound vehicle crossed the center line, causing an accident. According to police, the northbound vehicle then fled the scene of the accident.

The 24-year-old motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but officials do not believe the injuries are life-threatening.

Officers are continuing to investigate the matter.
