Lemay sets up a neighborhood watch

LEMAY, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Community members in Lemay are taking the next steps to make their community safer.

Residents, law enforcement and local leaders gathered Saturday for the first Lemay Neighborhood Watch meeting.

The group’s creation comes as concerns grow about property crime, shootings and safety in Lemay Park.

Neighbors say they will now look out for each other and that the area as a whole will improve.

Organizers collected names for those interested in becoming block captains.

No future meeting dates have been set.
