Man killed after shooting in North Philadelphia: sources

A man has died after being shot by an armed person in North Philadelphia.

According to authorities, shots fired occurred in the 2500 block of North Jessup Street on Saturday afternoon around 3:15 p.m.

First responders determined that the victim, whose identity was not immediately known, was suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Police rushed him to Temple University Hospital, where he was initially in critical condition. Police sources tell FOX 29 the victim later died at the hospital.

Police are actively investigating but have not made any arrests.
