A Mississauga religious school teacher faces multiple sexual assault charges

A teacher at a religious school in Mississauga is facing multiple sexual assault charges.

Investigators from the Special Victims Unit in Peel Region say the man was working at the school in September 2024 when he allegedly sexually abused two children.

Ahmed Alhajahmed, 32, was arrested Oct. 10 and charged with two counts of sexual assault and two counts of sexual harassment.

Investigators did not release the name of the school in question or any other details about the case.

Alhajahmed is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton at a date to be confirmed.

Investigators say the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police.
