Two children were reportedly found attending a daycare center on the highway

KOSCIUSKO, Miss. (WLBT/Gray News) – Authorities say two children were found wandering on a highway while they were supposed to be at a daycare center in Mississippi.

Kosciusko police said the frightening moment occurred on Oct. 9 while the children were at Wee Kids daycare, WLBT reported.

The children were taken off the road before any injuries occurred.

Officials said Wendy Hood, the daycare’s owner, turned herself in to police.

She was charged with two counts of child neglect.

Hood is now in custody.
