Sumter police are investigating after shots were fired into an occupied home and are offering a reward for the suspect’s arrest

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) – Sumter Police are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of a suspect accused of firing shots into a home earlier this week adults and children were.

Police believe the shooting began early Wednesday morning when someone shot at the home of 21-year-old Ty’Heim Anthony James.

According to Sumter police, James then left his home and began firing shots along Robney Drive and into another home.

According to police, several people, including adults and children, were present when the shots were fired.

No injuries were reported, but nearby property and vehicles were damaged.

Sumter police say if anyone has information about his whereabouts, they should call Sumter police at 803-436-2700.
