Makarfi’s son, former governor of Kaduna, dies in a road accident

Faisal Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi, the eldest son of former Kaduna State Governor, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, has tragically died in a car accident.

The incident occurred along the Kaduna-Zaria Expressway on Saturday evening.

A source close to the family, who wished to remain anonymous, confirmed the details.

“The accident occurred on the Kaduna-Zaria highway this evening. Faisal was immediately rushed to an unknown hospital where he was unfortunately pronounced dead. His father was present at the hospital and the body has since been brought home in preparation for burial,” the source said.

Faisal, a qualified engineer, had an impressive academic background. He started his education at Kaduna International School before attending Adesoye College, Offa, Kwara State for his secondary education.

He later completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of Greenwich, London, and had recently enrolled for a PhD at the same institution.

Attempts to reach Senator Makarfi, who also served as a former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for comment were unsuccessful at the time of publishing this report.
