At least one dead after tractor-trailer accident in Phoenix

PHOENIX (AZFamily) —At least one person died in a multi-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck on Saturday.

Details are limited, but the accident occurred around 11:30 a.m. near 51st Avenue and Osborn Road.

Police said the collision was fatal but did not provide information about any other injuries.

Authorities say 51st Avenue and Osborn Road are closed in all directions while police investigate what led to the crash. There is no estimated reopening date and the closure is expected to last throughout the day.
