Man dies in shooting at apartment complex in Fayetteville

A 22-year-old man died in a shooting in Fayetteville on Friday.

Fayetteville police arrived at the 900 block of Greenleaf Drive around 4:50 p.m. after receiving word of a shooting. A man was found with gunshot wounds in an apartment complex.

Tyshaun Hines was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he later died.

The circumstances that led to the shooting are unknown. The police are investigating murder.

The Fayetteville/Cumberland County Crimestoppers program offers a cash reward of up to $2,000 for information provided to Crimestoppers that leads to an arrest.
