Tragic electrocution incident during idol immersion

A tragic incident took place during an idol immersion ceremony in Shivgarh Turi village in which two persons died due to electrocution and three others were injured. The incident occurred on Saturday.

According to police reports, the five-member group was performing immersion rituals when they accidentally came into contact with a high-tension wire, leading to the unfortunate accident.

Additional Commissioner of Police Sanjay Rai confirmed that 36-year-old Ranjit Kumar and 46-year-old Arun Kumar Singh succumbed to their injuries at a local hospital. Authorities have sent the bodies for post-mortem while the injured are being treated.
