Former Mississauga school teacher charged with sexual assault

A 32-year-old man who worked as a teacher at a religious school in Mississauga has been charged with sexual assault, Peel Regional Police said.

In a news release Saturday, investigators claimed the man attacked two children. Police did not name the school where the alleged assault took place.

Police are asking any witnesses or anyone with information about the incident to contact investigators.

The defendant is in custody awaiting a bail hearing, police said. He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton at a later date.
