Multiple agencies at the scene of a trapped person accident near UCCS

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) — Crews are at the scene of a “person trapped due to a traffic collision” in front of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, according to the Colorado Springs Fire Department.

CSFD rescued a trapped group around 8:49 a.m. Colorado Springs Police responded and blocked eastbound traffic at Austin Bluffs and Regent Circle.

The emergency services on site were able to see that a bus and an SUV were involved in the accident. The bus can be seen on a hill.

According to the CSFD, motorists should avoid the area until the scene of the accident is cleared.
