The body of a deceased man was recovered from Tempe Town Lake Saturday morning

PHOENIX – Police recovered the body of a dead man from Tempe Town Lake Saturday morning.

Tempe police were called to the north shore of the lake around 6:30 a.m. in response to a report that a body had washed ashore.

Police said the dead man, whom they did not immediately identify, appeared to be between 30 and 40 years old.

A police investigation has been launched into the man’s death.
