One of the biggest gangsters in the Balkans was arrested in Zagreb

Serbian Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said Interpol Zagreb had informed the Serbian Interior Ministry that Milovan Zdravković, suspected of being involved in the murder of members of the rival Škaljar clan, was arrested on the basis of a Serbian international arrest warrant.

As the Serbian MUP reports, Zdravković (45) was arrested today on the basis of an arrest warrant issued by the Supreme Court in Belgrade for the crimes of drug trafficking, conspiracy to commit crimes and aggravated murder.

“Milovan Zdravković is a high-ranking member of the Kavači organized criminal group and he made all decisions related to the execution of criminal acts of this group together with Radoj Zvicer and several other prominent members,” says Dačić, as reported by N1.

Belgrade-born Milovan Zdravković is suspected in Serbia of being involved in the planning and preparation of the murder of Stevan Stamatović and Igor Dedović, who were killed in Athens on January 19, 2020. He is suspected of having prepared and planned the murders of Alan Kožar and Damir Hadžić, who were killed on the Greek island of Corfu on July 23 of the same year.

“Milovan Zdravković’s role was reflected in the financing of logistics, payments for the rent of apartments, the employment of observers, as well as the procurement and transport of weapons for the commission of a crime. In addition, Milovan Zdravković, together with other members of the Kavači criminal group, purchased large quantities of the addictive drug cocaine from South America, which was then transported and distributed in Europe. According to operational findings, Milovan Zdravković is the godfather of Radoje Zvicer,” Dačić said.

Zvicer is one of the most influential people in the Balkan underworld and the head of the Kavcki clan. He has been linked to numerous murders, drug sales and other crimes.

Zvicer was also linked to the murder of Montenegrin Goran Vlaović, who was executed in Zrce by a shot in the back of the head at close range. The Swiss is said to have paid 50,000 euros for the murder, reports Kurir.

There were several assassination attempts on Swiss people. In 2020, they tried to kill him as he jogged near his apartment in Kiev in the middle of the day. He has been on the run since February 2021, when members of Veljko Belivuk’s group were arrested in Belgrade. In 2022, news surfaced that he was killed in a rented villa in Panama, but this news turned out to be false.
