Former Boston doctor convicted of attempted child sex trafficking, Justice Department says

A former anesthesiologist at Tufts Medical Center was convicted Thursday of attempted sex trafficking of a child, according to a news release from the office of Acting U.S. Attorney Joshua S. Levy.

Sadeq Ali Quraishi, 47, was convicted of one count of attempted sex trafficking of a child. U.S. District Court Judge Angel Kelley scheduled sentencing for January 28, 2025.

The incident occurred in November 2022 when Quraishi, then working at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, responded to an online advertisement offering commercial sex with two young girls, the statement said.
