Conor McGregor delivers damning verdict on Mike Perry’s BKFC sacking despite Joe Rogan’s assurances

To add insult to injury, Conor McGregor had publicly “fired” Mike Perry after the BKFC star was knocked out by Jake Paul in a boxing match earlier this year. In a recent interview on the sidelines of a BKFC press conference, Mac was asked again if he was Platinum had actually been fired. To which the bombastic Irishman had a short but clear message: “Mike Perry is still getting fired, still getting fired.”

Of course, the former UFC two-division champion is part owner of BKFC and was recently named its vice president. At least on paper, he appears to have the power to keep Perry from being promoted. However, as Joe Rogan pointed out in his podcast after the Paul Perry fight, “Platinum”, like McGregor, is a partner in BKFC and cannot actually be fired by “Mac”.

A fact Perry reminded McGregor of after he was “fired.” “He doesn’t have a fucking promotion. Me and him both own BKFC so he can’t sack me.” the BKFC star had said defiantly.

Not to mention, Perry is to BKFC as Conor McGregor is to UFC, i.e. the promotion’s biggest star of all time. And firing him will not only hurt BKFC, but also “Mac’s own pockets.” Ultimately, Perry’s exit will undoubtedly hurt the fledgling promotion’s stock prices.

Of course, McGregor isn’t the type to let a bit of truth get in the way of good, hard-hitting writing, which is what makes him so entertaining for fans. However, following Perry’s sacking, the Dubliner appears to be on the lookout for a replacement.

Conor McGregor wants to fight Floyd Mayweather in BKFC

Conor McGregor called out the undefeated retired boxer Floyd Mayweather for a repeat of their 2017 superfight, but this time in BKFC. The Irishman received his biggest paycheck ever in his boxing match with “Money” and is hoping for another payday as his UFC career stalls.

Not to mention the boost that a clash between McGregor and Mayweather will have on the popularity and fame of the BKFC. But the Irishman isn’t very picky and takes whatever he can get. In an interview he was asked which boxers and mixed martial artists he would like to see bare-knuckled. To which “Mac” simply replied “Every single one of them has the guts to do it. Very few of them have the courage to do it. That’s why anyone who has the courage to step up has my respect.” Of course, BKFC has already had some UFC stars like Eddie Alvarez and Chad Mendes fight under their roof. Even Mike Perry is a former UFC star!

McGregor seems eager to fight anyone, be it in the UFC or boxing. But he wants to get rid of BKFC’s top fighter Perry. What do you think about McGregor trying to “fire” Perry?
