Cody Rhodes proves to be the ultimate prankster
WWE has long been a powerhouse in professional wrestling, not only for its in-ring action, but also for the way it allows its superstars to branch out into other areas of entertainment. From films to reality shows, WWE stars often use their platform to explore different opportunities and expand their careers.
So it’s no surprise that Cody Rhodes, one of the biggest names in WWE, decided to prank The New day during the final season of Scare Tactics, a series known for its elaborate pranks designed to terrify unsuspecting individuals.
Scare Tactics has been running for years and its format is simple but effective: unsuspecting people are placed in a variety of frightening and ridiculous situations to elicit their frightened reactions, all just to make them laugh. Over the years, the show has featured numerous celebrities in on the joke, including some well-known WWE names. This time it was Cody Rhodes’ turn to play the prankster, and he chose The New Day, one of WWE’s most charismatic and popular factions, as his unwitting victims.
The plan for the prank was to have a fake talent audition for a show called ” Thrill ride. The New Day, always eager to explore new ventures outside of WWE, was brought in as part of the “audition” process. They were told they were evaluating a woman to see if she had what it took to be on the show. The New Day was naturally excited, sensed that she had potential and were willing to offer her support. However, things quickly took a bizarre turn when Cody Rhodes, posing as a producer, began acting uncomfortable around the woman.
His awkwardness quickly escalated to utter contempt as he called her a “freak” and expressed a desire to have nothing to do with her. This sudden change in behavior confused The New Day, who were visibly confused by Cody’s hostility.
But things really got out of hand when the woman, clearly taken aback, yelled at Cody and told him not to insult her. The atmosphere became tense, and just when it seemed like things couldn’t get any crazier, a surprise explosion erupted, sending The New Day into a state of shock.
That’s when Cody revealed the truth: the whole situation was a prank for Scare Tactics and not a real audition for Thrill Ride. The New Day was clearly unsettled, but couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity of it all. They’re no strangers to taking part in various shows outside of WWE, but they certainly weren’t expecting to be involved in such an elaborate scare.
For fans, the interaction between Cody Rhodes and The New Day was pure gold, offering a mix of comedy, surprise and a bit of chaos. The unexpected prank made for great television, and it’s clear that everyone involved had a lot of fun, even if The New Day wasn’t exactly prepared for it.
