Chicago shooting: Police say three women were shot, one fatally, on Kedzie in Garfield Park

CHICAGO (WLS) – A shooting left a woman dead and two other women injured Friday night on the city’s West Side, Chicago police said.

This happened just after 9:40 p.m. near Fulton and Kedzie, which is the Garfield Park neighborhood.

Video from the scene showed police reacting violently to the shooting, including at least one bullet going through the windshield of a car.

A witness said he heard shots.

“I just heard a gunshot and I fell to the ground,” Regal said. “I heard that three girls were shot, one lost her life. That’s all I know, man – bad Wild West.”

According to CPD, an unidentified female was taken to Stroger Hospital where she died.

A 25-year-old woman was shot in the shoulder and taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said.

A 23-year-old woman was transported to Mount Sinai with a gunshot wound to the back, police said. She was in good condition.

The three victims were found inside and outside the home, police said. Therefore, investigators are still trying to find out exactly where the shots were fired.

Nobody is in custody.
