Shooting at a Halloween party in Oklahoma City leaves one dead and dozens injured

One person was killed when gunfire broke out at a Halloween party in Oklahoma City on Saturday morning.

Oklahoma City police said the shooting began when two groups of people got into an argument at Patty’s Event Center around 12:30 p.m. before shots were fired inside and outside the building.

One man was pronounced dead and at least 12 others were injured in the shooting, two of whom were taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

Officials say several armed men were involved in the shooting and rifles are believed to have been used.

Police have arrested several people but have not named a suspect to investigate the shooting.

It was unknown how many people were at the party at the time of the shooting.

Patty’s Event Center is located in the 5800 block of South Agnew Avenue in southwest Oklahoma City.

The event center is located 3.5 miles east of Will Rogers World Airport.
