The daughter of disgraced singer R. Kelly has accused the singer of sexually abusing her as a child.

Buku Abi, 26, made the claim as part of the new two-part documentary Karma: A Daughter’s Journey, accusing the singer of molesting her when she was around eight or nine years old.

R. Kelly, 57, Robert Kelly, was jailed in June 2022 on racketeering and sex trafficking charges after decades of evading criminal responsibility over misconduct allegations against young women and children.

The disgraced singer was sentenced to 30 years in prison after being found guilty of masterminding a scheme to lure and sexually exploit young aspiring singers and underage children.

Abi first told her mother about the singer’s alleged abuse in 2009, when she was about 10 years old.

The allegations came as fellow musical heavyweight “P Diddy” made a grim appearance in court to set his trial date in a sex trafficking case.

“He was my everything. For a long time I didn’t even want to believe it happened,” Abi said of her father during the documentary.

“I didn’t know he would hurt me even if he was a bad person,” she added.

LBC has asked R. Kelly’s lawyers for a statement on the allegations.

Prosecutors had previously called for the star to be imprisoned for at least 25 years as part of the trial, while the star was given a 30-year prison sentence just over two years ago.

Kelly’s lawyers had made a last-ditch effort to acquit the singer and demand a retrial after arguing that his client’s defense had been ineffective and that prosecutors had “abused” the racketeering charge.

The request was rejected by the judge.

A jury of seven men and five women previously found Kelly guilty of extortion. The prosecution relied on the argument that the entourage of managers and aides who helped the singer meet girls – and keep them submissive and quiet – amounted to a criminal enterprise.

Several accusers testified at length during the trial, alleging that Kelly subjected them to perverted and sadistic whims when they were minors.

It comes as Sean “Diddy” Combs appeared before Judge Arun Subramanian in Manhattan federal court on Thursday.

After entering the courtroom, he was seen hugging each of his lawyers.

His mother, Janice Smalls Combs, attended the hearing along with his daughters Chance, D’Lila and Jessie Combs.

Last month he was indicted on conspiracy and sex trafficking charges based on allegations dating back to 2008.
