Norwalk man charged with sexual assault, threatened victim: police

NORWALK, CT – A 26-year-old Norwalk man was arrested Thursday on a warrant in connection with a sexual assault in which the suspect threatened to share explicit photos of the victim, according to Norwalk police.

Jason Acosta-Williams turned himself in to police and was arrested on charges of first-degree sexual assault and coercion.

The case began in August when a sexual assault was reported to police.

“Acosta-Williams had threatened to share explicit photos of the victim with the victim’s family and co-workers if the victim did not engage in sexual relations with him,” Norwalk Deputy Chief Terrence Blake wrote in a statement.

After obtaining a warrant for his arrest, police’s initial attempts to find Acosta-Williams were unsuccessful, but he eventually turned himself in.

Acosta-Williams was held in lieu of $150,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
