One person died in accident on Thursday | News, sports, jobs

Pictured is the scene of a two-car crash Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Route 394 and Gerry-Levant Road in the town of Ellicott. According to New York State Police this morning, one person was killed and two were injured.

One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 394 and Gerry Levant Road Thursday at 4:16 p.m.

The names are being withheld pending notification of family and an official release by the New York State Police. A state police call log entry posted on the state police website confirms the accident and the injuries to two people involved in the accident. It also states that one person was killed.

First responders were on scene for several hours Thursday, with traffic being diverted around the scene via Lindquist Drive and County Route 65 while the crash investigation continued.

State police from the Jamestown barracks responded, as did Kennedy volunteer firefighters.
