Motorcyclist dies after crash in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Ivy Mill Road just after 7:15 p.m. Friday.

“Police responded to a single-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle near the intersection of River Road,” police said. “(Officers) found an injured man who had been thrown from his motorcycle to the ground.”

The unidentified driver was taken to a hospital where he died.

Police say speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the accident.
