Trump’s campaign is seeking greater security and military aircraft in the face of the threat from Iran

Former President Trump’s campaign has asked the White House to step up Secret Service security amid security concerns in the final stages of the election, citing threats from Iran, Fox News has learned.

On Friday, President Biden was asked about the Republican nominee’s request for enhanced security protocols.

“As long as you don’t ask for F-15s. Well, I told them to give him everything he needs as if he were a sitting president,” Biden said. “If it falls into that category. That’s fine.”

The Trump campaign cited serious threats from Iran with additional protection. What was called for were temporary airspace restrictions during the election campaign, motorcade drivers with tactical experience and vehicles like the “Beast,” the bulletproof vehicle that Biden used.

U.S. Rep. Mike Waltz, R-Fla., wrote a letter to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan and acting U.S. National Intelligence Director Rowe warning that Iran is actively trying to harm Trump kill.

Waltz demanded that Trump be provided with various aircraft, including military aircraft with defensive capabilities, as well as a C-17 or C-40 in the event of a missile attack.

The requests came after two failed assassination attempts on Trump within a few weeks.

Last month, Trump spoke of a possible Iranian death threat against him.

Tehran’s possible assassination attempt was described in detail FBI documents that Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, flagged other potential targets, including Biden and former presidential candidate Nikki Haley, as well as other “politicians, military personnel or bureaucrats.”

At some point, Trump was informed of “real and specific threats” from Iran to assassinate him, the campaign said last month.

Iran’s aim to assassinate Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, is part of the Islamic Republic’s efforts to “destabilize the country and sow chaos.” United States,” Trump campaign communications director Steven Cheung said in a press release at the time.
