Y&R’s Joshua Morrow and B&B’s Crew Morrow sit down with Entertainment Tonight to discuss the launches of their father-son soap

Chloe Lane’s (Nadia Bjorlin) sister is all grown up and coming to Salem! Today’s casting news reveals that actress AlexAnn Hopkins will be taking over Days of our lives Debut in the role of Joy Wesley, the biological daughter of Nancy and Craig Wesley.

What’s more, Patrika Darbo is actually happily returning to Salem, and according to Soap Opera Digest, DAYS fans can wait for the two to reappear on the scene starting with the October 22nd episode.

Darbo was always a fan favorite Days of our lives for years. Patrika first created the role of Nancy in 1998 and remained loyal to the series until 2005. After an eight-year absence, she returned again in 2013, then in 2016–17, 2019 and most recently in 2022, when Craig (Kevin Spirtas) and Nancy’s relationship ended when Craig revealed that he was gay and they divorced.

As for AlexAnn Hopkins, the young actress has appeared in several episodic primetime series, Chicago PD Criminal Minds, Sun Records and more. Viewers remember that Joy’s birth was something of a miracle. Nancy and Craig had hoped that their new little bundle of joy, who arrived in 2003, would provide the right bone marrow to save Chloe, who was suffering from leukemia, and she did just that and Chloe was saved. The last time Joy was seen on screen in Salem was as a baby in 2005. Nadia Bjorlin’s Chloe has not been seen on the DAYS screen since October 2023. It is not yet known whether she will return in the future.

Recently, Darbo took to her social media following the death of beloved DAYS vet Drake Hogestyn (John Black), who passed away from pancreatic cancer on September 28th. In her memory, she thanked Drake and shared the story of how he made her feel like one of the “divas” of DAYS and expressed, “To all the fans who kept me on the show, something from you “Maybe you didn’t know that was it.” Drake Hogestyn came up to me and said, “Patrika, you belong.” I was with the family now and wanted to welcome you.’ So please know that as wonderful as he was as an actor, he was the best as a person.”
