A Vancouver woman was found dead and strangled, the coroner said

VANCOUVER, Wash. (KATU) – The Clark County Coroner says A woman was found dead in her Vancouver home was strangled.

Patricia Jimerfield, 78, was found dead Tuesday evening near Northwest 26th Avenue and 99th Street.

Officers said there were no signs of forced entry or break-in.

Investigators said Jimerfield was notified by her bank earlier that day about fraudulent activity on their account.

They said she checked her purse and discovered her wallet was missing, then filed a report with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies are still investigating.

Nobody was arrested.
