Incident reports including DUI and public intoxication in Stafford County

Stafford, VA – The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office released details of the incidents that occurred on Wednesday, highlighting three separate instances of law violations.

The first incident was a burglary on King Street. At 5:37 p.m., Deputy IE Baldi responded to the report where the victim noted that her property had been trespassed and a sweatshirt was missing.

A DUI incident was reported at a 7-Eleven on Garrisonville Road at 12:30 p.m. Deputies JL Jones and SM Eastman responded to calls about a possible drunk driver who had fallen asleep at a green light. When officers found the driver asleep at the wheel in the parking lot, they noticed clear signs of intoxication. The driver himself admitted that he had been drinking alcohol and believed that he was safe from arrest on private property. However, he was charged with a blood alcohol content over 0.2 and held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail until he sobered up.

  • Train accident in Bladensburg sends two people to hospital

    BLADENSBURG, Md. – A CSX train collided with a car in Bladensburg Friday morning, sending two people to the hospital.

    According to the Prince George’s County Fire and Rescue Department, the incident occurred around 6:05 a.m. at the intersection of 52nd Avenue and Kenilworth Avenue. First responders reported that the two people in the car suffered minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

    CSX is currently leading the investigation into the crash and is being assisted by county officials.

  • Car plows into house near Fairfax Station

    FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA – A car crashed into a home near the Fairfax train station Friday morning, prompting a response from the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD).

    Officers arrived at the scene of the single vehicle accident that occurred in the 10800 block of Paynes Church Drive. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.

    The cause of the accident is currently under investigation as authorities attempt to determine what caused the vehicle to crash into the residence.
