Kanpur: In a tragic road accident, a farmer on his way to sell vegetables at the market was killed DCM truck in Terajakate town of Kannauj district in the early hours of Friday.
The impact caused the farmer to become trapped between the truck and the DCM and dragged about 50 meters across the road. The incident took place in Terajakate area of ​​Kannauj district where the speeding DCM collided with the farmer’s bike from behind. After the accident, both the truck and the DCM drivers fled the scene, abandoning their vehicles.
Police arrived at the spot and organized an ambulance to take the injured farmer to the hospital. However, upon examination, doctors at the hospital declared the farmer dead.
The victim was identified as Nilesh Shakyaa 32-year-old resident of Rajlamau village under Gursahaiganj police station. Nilesh had set off early in the morning with a bag of chillies attached to his bike with the intention of selling them at the vegetable market. The incident took place on the NH-34 highway where he was driving behind a truck which was in turn following a pickup truck.
Shortly before reaching the Mama Hotel, the truck driver collided with the pickup, causing it to overturn and break through the highway railing. At the same time, the DCM driver, who was approaching from behind at high speed, crashed into the farmer’s bicycle and then crashed into the truck. As a result, the farmer was dragged on the bicycle for about 50 meters between the truck and the DCM. Both drivers stopped their vehicles and fled the scene of the accident. After police reached the scene of the incident, they sent the farmer to the hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival. tnn
