Man found dead after smoke was reported coming from his home in Bloomfield

BLOOMFIELD, Conn. (WFSB) – A man has died after a fire at a home in Bloomfield.

Police said they responded to 14 Ivory Way around 2:30 p.m. for reports of smoke coming from the windows.

According to police, the fire was confined to the bathroom.

It is said that after firefighters extinguished the fire, they found a man in the bathroom who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has not been identified.

“Bloomfield Police Detectives, Bloomfield Fire Marshall and Connecticut State Fire Marshall are working together and are actively investigating the incident,” police said.
