The Chris Hatcher Show: October 11, 2024

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. –We will publish The every week during the 2024 season Chris Hatcher Show. This season the show was hosted by Kevin Blackwell and featured the head football coach Chris Hatcherwill look back on last week’s football game and look forward to the competition ahead.

Last week, the Bulldogs opened Southern Conference play with an impressive 27-3 victory over VMI. In the win for Samford, quarterback Quincy Crittendon completed 26 of 30 passes for 196 yards and three touchdowns. Wide receiver E. Jai Mason caught seven passes for 76 yards and two touchdowns DJ Rias caught nine passes for 56 yards. Brendan Jenkins had two catches for 23 yards and a touchdown while Ian Cousin caught two passes for 24 yards.

This week, the Bulldogs travel to Johnson City, Tennessee to take on the ETSU Bucs, who come into the game with a record of 3-3 overall and 1-1 in SoCon play.

Samford and ETSU have met 11 times, with Samford leading the series 8-3. Last season, Samford earned a 42-28 win over ETSU at home. The last time the teams played in Johnson City was in 2022, when the Bulldogs earned a 55-45 victory in an offensive shootout. ETSU’s last win in the series came in 2021, when the Bucs won an overtime thriller in Samford, 55-48.
