BR man charged with 293 counts of child porn

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – A Baton Rouge man has been charged with 293 counts of possession of child pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13, according to jail records.

Investigators believe the evidence in the case includes more than 100 videos of children under the age of 10 being sexually assaulted or exploited.

Junior Padilla-Salmeron, 23, of White Rose Drive in Baton Rouge, was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail on Thursday, Oct. 10, booking records show.

The case was investigated by the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office in collaboration with Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Cyber ​​Crimes Unit.

Investigators say they received a cyber tip several months ago that initiated their investigation.
