R. Kelly’s daughter Buku Abi accuses the singer of sexually abusing her

The Dear Daisy The singer – real name Joann Kelly – admitted that after opening up to her mother Andrea, she simply stopped seeing her father and that she has “struggled” with it over the years.

She said: “After I told my mother, I stopped going there; my brother [Robert] and sister [Jaah]We didn’t go there anymore. And even up to now I have a lot of trouble with it.”

In the second episode of the documentary series, she claimed she was just “pretending to be asleep” when the alleged abuse occurred and eventually filed a complaint as a Jane Doe, but prosecution was impossible because she waited “too long” to do so had report.

However, the Grammy-winning star was quick to deny all of his daughter’s allegations.

In a statement about this PeopleKelly’s lawyer Jennifer Bonjean said: “Mr Kelly vehemently denies these allegations. His ex-wife made the same claim years ago, which was investigated by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services and found to be unfounded… And the “filmmakers,” whoever they are, have not contacted Mr. Kelly or him team to even allow him to deny these hurtful allegations.”

Kelly was previously accused of filming himself having sex with underage girls and of tampering with his state trial on child pornography charges in 2008, for which he was acquitted.

In February 2023, Kelly was sentenced to 20 years in prison in Chicago on various abuse charges.

He is currently serving 19 years of his two sentences concurrently and is not eligible for release until 2045.
