Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ lawyer reveals ‘hardest part’ of prison

Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who was charged last month with sex trafficking, racketeering and solicitation for prostitution, is reportedly having a hard time adjusting to his new diet behind bars.

“I think the food is probably the hardest part of this,” his attorney Marc Agnifilo told the press Thursday after a status conference on the case that ended with a trial date set for May 5, 2025.

Combs was arrested in connection with an indictment filed by the Southern District of New York that accuses him of hosting secret “freak-offs” that involved drugging and raping women and forcing them to work with male men coercing sex workers; His property was searched by federal authorities in March.

The music producer, who founded Bad Boy Records in 1993 and propelled late rapper The Notorious BIG to superstardom, has pleaded not guilty and remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since his arrest on September 16. He was denied bail twice because prosecutors argued Combs was a flight risk and there appeared to be a history of witness intimidation.

It was previously reported that Combs begins his day in prison at 6 a.m. with cereal, fruit and a breakfast cake. Weekday lunch is served at 11 a.m. and includes a rotation of hamburgers, fish and beef tacos. However, scrambled eggs and cookies can also be offered on weekends.

Dinner is served after a daily staff count at 4 p.m. and includes a choice of chicken fajitas, pasta or roast beef, as well as “heart-healthy” options like lentils, tofu or baked beans. Despite his obvious criticism, it appears Combs will have to settle for these decisions until May.

Marc Agnifilo shared his client’s distaste for prison food with reporters in Manhattan on Thursday.

The allegations against Combs increased after his ex-girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura filed a lawsuit in late 2023. The singer-songwriter, who was once signed to the Bad Boy label, accused Combs of repeatedly drugging and raping her. She and Combs settled the lawsuit for an undisclosed amount within 24 hours of filing the suit.

In May of this year, CNN obtained and published footage of Combs physically attacking Ventura in 2016. When the clip was released, Combs apologized for his actions in a controversial video on social media.
