Arrests were made in the August shooting in Waterbury

WATERBURY, Conn. (WFSB) – Two people have been arrested for an August shooting in Waterbury.

According to police, the shooting occurred on August 17 at 21 William Street.

The officers had been on scene because of a report of a robbery. A 30-year-old man was found with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Police say they have not identified and arrested two suspects.

Joshua Rodriguez, 24, of Waterbury, was arrested Sept. 9 and charged with, among other things, robbery with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a deadly weapon and assault with a firearm.

Brett Foster, 29, of New Haven, was arrested Oct. 9 and charged with, among other things, assault with a firearm, robbery with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a firearm and assault with a firearm.

Both suspects are convicted felons who are prohibited from possessing weapons or ammunition, police said.

They are currently being held on bond by the Connecticut Department of Corrections.
