Massive Attack cancel US tour due to “unforeseen circumstances”.

Massive Attack have canceled their entire 2024 US tour less than a week before the tour begins, citing “unforeseen circumstances.”

On Friday (October 11), the trip-hop legends posted the following statement on their Instagram Story: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, Massive Attack regretfully have to cancel their upcoming appearance at the III Points Festival in Miami, FL on October 19th in Atlanta GA, Washington DC, Boston MA and Forest Hills NY. We thank you for your understanding at this time.”

The British group was about to make its first US appearances in five years, with Elizabeth Fraser, Horace Andy and the Cocteau Twins’ Young Fathers as special guests. The five-date trip was scheduled to begin with the Atlanta date on October 17th.

Massive Attack have a one-off show planned at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena on November 29th (tickets available here), as part of their ongoing efforts to reduce carbon emissions in the live music industry.
