Barrie police are filing criminal charges as an ongoing investigation

Police in Barrie made an arrest as part of a sex crimes investigation and authorities fear more women may have had similar experiences.

Bryan Johnson, 43, became the subject of a police investigation in August and was arrested on September 24th.

He is accused of several crimes, including sexual offenses.

According to police, the man from Barrie regularly visited the city center.

Due to a court-imposed publication ban, police cannot release details of the allegations. However, she asks anyone who feels they have been a victim of crime to contact the investigator assigned to the case at 705-725-7025, extensions 2170 and 2646. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers.

The defendant remains in police custody pending a later court date. The allegations against him were not examined in court.
