St. Xavier High School teacher fired for possible “boundary violation” with a student

CINCINNATI (WXIX) — An investigation is underway after St. Xavier High School officials were alerted to a possible “boundary violation” between a student and a teacher.

According to the school’s communications coordinator, Britan Shriner, the teacher has been fired and is not allowed to have contact with other staff or students at St. Xavier High School.

“Caring for the student and family remains the school’s top priority during this most difficult time,” Principal Dan Lynch wrote in an email to students, families and faculty on Friday.

School officials did not say exactly what happened between the student and the now-former teacher.

Springfield Township police are currently investigating the incident.

Police told FOX19 NOW they plan to provide more information later Friday.

FOX19 NOW will update this story as more information becomes available.
