After the student was found on site despite resuscitation measures, the person was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

“The University is deeply saddened to confirm the death of a student last evening following an apparent fall from Nash Hall, an on-campus residence hall,” WWU wrote in a letter to students, faculty and their families obtained by Whatcom News .

A second student was pronounced dead shortly afterward, but not many details about the second student’s death were released. The student was found unresponsive the next morning in WWU’s Alma Clark Glass Hall.
