Netflix announces that the hit drama will return for a third season – before the second has even aired

NETFLIX has backed a third season of a critically acclaimed political drama – before the second season has even aired.

The News was shared by Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s chief content officer, on stage at the Bloomberg Screentime Conference in Los Angeles.

Production on season three of The Diplomat is underway and will take place in London and New York City.

The series is created by Debora Cahn, who returns as an executive producer for the third season alongside Janice Wiliams, Keri Russell and Alex Graves.

But before that, fans are excited about the premiere of the second season at the end of the month.
