Woman was critically injured in a four-vehicle crash that sent her car crashing over the I-15 barrier in Ogden

OGDEN – A woman was critically injured in a crash on Interstate 15 in Ogden on Friday, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

Lt. Cam Roden with UHP said the accident occurred on I-15 at the 2700 North ramp. The accident involved a Jeep entering the southbound on-ramp, he said. The Jeep collided with another car before crossing the blood area and was struck by a semi-truck.

The semi-trailer then crashed into another car and then pushed it over the concrete barrier. The car ended up in the oncoming northbound lane.

The woman driving the second car was taken by helicopter to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The possible injuries to the Jeep driver, the driver of another car and the tractor-trailer driver are unknown.

Roden said all southbound lanes were closed and would remain closed until about 10 or 11 a.m
