MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – FOX10 News has new information on a story we continue to follow.

Adam Renk appeared before a Mobile County judge Thursday morning.

Judge Zach Moore did not issue bond Thursday.

He pleaded not guilty to the five new charges against him, including sexual abuse, sodomy and child pornography.

Renk faces sexual abuse charges in both Mobile County and Wasco County, Oregon.

Officials say a Mobile man accused of multiple sex crimes will be extradited to Oregon

Renk’s lawyer, Kyle Henderson, openly expressed his frustration in court, saying his client was not getting a fair chance and had been attacked in prison since turning himself in.

“They now want to harm people and prevent the court system from continuing as it was intended,” Henderson said.

The Mobile County District Attorney’s Office says it is prepared to pursue a criminal prosecution.

The prosecutor’s office says Renk has been on the run for nearly two months and has changed his physical appearance.

Henderson expressed his anger and even called mobile police saying they needed to “get their ducks in a row.”

In court, Henderson referred to the previous times Renk was released from jail on bail only to receive new warrants.

“He turned himself in as requested and after he turned himself in, he was attacked in prison where he is now in solitary confinement,” Henderson said.

Prosecutor Theresa Harris says a neighbor saw Renk packing up an RV a few weeks ago and didn’t come back.

Renk faces similar charges in Oregon.

A preliminary hearing on all seven charges is scheduled for November 14.
