MIKE TYSON has revealed what caused the health crisis that led to the postponement of his clash with Jake Paul.

The pair’s controversial duel in Texas was originally scheduled to take place in July, but was postponed to November 15 after he suffered a medical emergency on board a flight from Miami to Los Angeles.

Tyson, 58, was forced to postpone the fight due to severe stomach ulcers, which he said were caused by a poor diet.

He said: “I didn’t fight this battle for legacy. I think legacy is really ego from my perspective.”

However, the New Yorker also insists that the high pay he will receive for the bout in Dallas played no role in his decision to take the fight.

“I’m a glory junkie,” he admitted in an interview with Esquire. “I love it when people think about me all day long.”

“I would rather live a short life of glory than a long life of obscurity. That’s just who I am.”

“That’s all I started fighting for – to get this damn status.

“I will pursue it for the rest of my life. I know that.”
