Teen dies of injuries in Bronx shooting, now under murder investigation

Bronx, NY — A 16-year-old boy, Kemari Sanders, has died as a result of a shooting in August, and the case is now being investigated as a homicide, the New York Police Department announced. Sanders, who lived on East 172 Street in the Bronx, died from his injuries on Friday, October 4, 2024.

The shooting occurred on August 23, 2024 at approximately 12:40 p.m. near the corner of Bryant Avenue and Jennings Street. The victim was walking in the area when an unknown suspect fired a shot, striking Sanders in the neck. The shooter fled the scene northbound on Bryant Avenue.

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspect associated with the incident.

    Bronx, NY – Authorities are searching for a suspect involved in a shooting at an apartment in the Bronx early Monday morning, September 23, 2024. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. near Andrews Avenue and West 179 Street.

    According to the police, a 28-year-old woman invited a man she had met that evening to her apartment. When the man made unwanted sexual advances, the woman rejected him and escorted him out. As he left the apartment, the suspect is said to have fired a shot with a firearm toward the apartment door, damaging a wall. He then fled the scene on foot.

    No injuries were reported in the incident. The suspect is described as a male with dark skin, aged between 25 and 40 and of medium build. He was last seen wearing black jeans, a black T-shirt with a multi-colored pattern on the front and black sneakers.

    The investigation is ongoing and authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward.

  • 22-year-old man fatally shot in Philadelphia

    Philadelphia, PA – A 22-year-old man was killed in a shooting Monday night in the 35th Precinct. The incident occurred around 5:31 p.m. in the 5700 block of North Camac Street, where the victim, a Black male, was struck multiple times in the head and torso.

    The victim was transported by police to Einstein Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:43 p.m. Authorities have not seized any weapons and no arrests have been made.

    The investigation is ongoing and the crime scene remains secured while investigators search for clues.

  • Four refugees wanted for attacking a pro-Palestinian protest in Union Square

    Manhattan, NY – A 54-year-old man was attacked during a pro-Palestinian protest in Union Square Park on Monday, October 7, 2024. The incident occurred at 10 Union Square East in the 13th Ward around 3:55 p.m.

    According to the victim, he was attending the protest and was carrying an Israeli flag when a group of protesters tried to take the flag from him. During the altercation, an unknown man wearing a white T-shirt and black jeans allegedly hit the victim in the face with a flagpole. An unidentified woman, who was reportedly wearing a black hat, black sweater, red sweatpants and red sunglasses, also allegedly struck the victim in the face with a tambourine.

    Both attackers fled the scene on foot. The victim was treated for his injuries at the scene by emergency services.

    The investigation is ongoing and authorities are seeking information to identify the people involved.
