Stabbing at Westfield Shopping Center as three young boys are taken to hospital

Three boys have been taken to hospital after a suspected knife attack at a Westfield shopping centre.

A fight broke out between a group of boys at Westfield Doncaster in Melbourne’s north-east at around 5.30pm on Friday.

When officers arrived, they discovered that three boys had suffered suspected stab wounds.

“One of the boys is believed to have suffered a stab wound to his upper body, another had a laceration to his back and the third had a laceration to his arm,” a Victoria Police spokesman said.

“All three were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”

“Officers arrested six teenagers at the scene and inquiries are ongoing.”

Witnesses reported that a fight broke out in the mall’s food court.
