Russia attacks Odessa with ballistic missiles: 4 dead, 10 injured

On the night of October 11, Russian troops struck Odessa with ballistic missiles, killing four people, including a teenager, and wounding 10 others.

According to Ukrinform, the head of the Odessa regional state administration, Oleh Kiper, said this in a Telegram message.

According to him, the attack in the Odessa district resulted in the destruction of a two-story building where civilians lived and worked. People were trapped under the rubble.

According to the head of the regional state administration, rescuers from the state rescue service saved four people. Three other people died under the rubble of the building.

Among the dead are a 43-year-old woman, a 22-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl.

Another woman died in hospital from her injuries.

Ten people were injured and nine were hospitalized. Four people are in serious condition.

Ten people received psychological support on site.

According to the state emergency service, rescue operations in Odessa were made more difficult by repeated air raid warnings.

“The rescuers were joined by doctors, police officers, Red Cross representatives and volunteers. Dog handlers were involved in the search operations,” the statement said.

As Ukrinform previously reported, eight people were killed and nine injured in the Russian attack on Odessa district port infrastructure on October 9.
