“Single Residence Occupancy” Wins Imagine Entertainment, Adobe and Film Zone’s From Minutes to Movies ShortFest (Exclusive)

The social-first short film festival from Imagine Entertainment, Adobe and The Film Zone received nearly 4,000 submissions and encouraged filmmakers and creators looking to transition to longer formats to reach new audiences.

“Single Residence Occupancy” is about a Chinese immigrant living in close quarters with her family when her request for better housing is rejected and she grapples with how to break the news to her children. Imagine Entertainment will support creators Ben-Shachar and Tang in developing this short concept into a series or feature for distribution. As first place winners, they will receive a cash prize of $7,500.
