1 dead in officer-involved shooting in northwest OKC

A woman has died in an officer-involved shooting in northwest Oklahoma City just after 10:30 p.m. Thursday, according to Oklahoma City police.

According to police, the shooting occurred near Northwest 122nd Street and MacArthur Boulevard.

According to OCPD, the woman fired shots before officers returned fire. Police say it’s unclear whether she shot at someone or whether she fired into the air.

According to police, the woman was involved in a collision in the area before the shooting.

The woman was shot and died after being transported to the hospital.

According to OCPD, seven officers were involved in the shooting and all have been placed on administrative leave.

According to OCPD, no other people were injured in the shooting.
