2 people injured in violent crash in north Phoenix

PHOENIX – Two people were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in north Phoenix Thursday evening.

Police and firefighters responded to the collision near the intersection of 44th Street and Deer Valley Road shortly after 6 p.m

According to the Phoenix Fire Department, one of the vehicles overturned and was engulfed in flames.

Firefighters extinguished the fire and immediately provided medical care to the victims.

An adult male and a juvenile male were taken to a hospital for treatment.

The teenager suffered life-threatening injuries. The adult suffered serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

A third adult suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for further evaluation.
