Tragic road accidents claim three lives in Odisha | Bhubaneswar News

Kendrapada: Three people died in two separate accidents Kendrapada And Jagatsinghpur districts on Thursday.
In the first incident, two people on a motorcycle were crushed under the wheels of an oil tanker at Alabanka Chowk on NH-53 in Kendrapada district. The police recovered the bodies and took them to the district headquarters hospital. One of the deceased was identified as Bhabani Prasad Mohapatra (32) of Kujang village. “We are investigating the case,” said Kishor Tarei, inspector-in-charge of Derabishi police station.
In another accident, a 35-year-old laborer, Bholanath Swain of Balikuda, was run over by a forklift at Paradip port in Jagatsinghpur district. Following the incident, angry workers demanded Rs 25 lakh as compensation for the family of the deceased and permanent employment for his widow.

M. Ramesh (35) and K. Chinnasamy (75) were killed in two separate road accidents in Trichy district. Ramesh was hit by a pickup truck and was later pronounced dead at a hospital. Chinnasamy was hit by another pickup truck while crossing the road; he died on the way to the hospital. Both drivers are charged with intentional and negligent driving.
