Reports of assaults and threats against first responders increase – ABC 6 News

(ABC 6 News) – Reports of harassment and assault against paramedics and paramedics have doubled in the last year.

Here in Minnesota, data from Hennepin Health Care shows there were 121 threats and assaults against paramedics and EMTs in 2023. There were 241 incidents in the first nine months of 2024.

Stones are said to be regularly thrown at ambulances and paramedics and paramedics are often at dangerous crime scenes.
